These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of purecomps.app (the "Service"), operated by Pure Comps ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

Pure Comps is a price-comparison tool that searches Google Shopping, Amazon, and other sources, filters out sponsored and paid placements, and displays organic results from multiple retailers. The Service offers:

• Free tier: 50 searches per day and up to 3 watch-list items at no cost.
• Pro tier: Unlimited searches, expanded watch-list capacity, and price-drop alerts for $4.99/month or $15/quarter, with a 7-day free trial.
• Lifetime tier: A one-time payment of $249 for lifetime Pro-equivalent access, subject to availability (planned cap of 100 memberships).

Paid features are currently disabled while we verify end-to-end billing flows. Free accounts remain fully available.

2. Account Registration

To use search and watch-list features, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it if it changes. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to access another user's data, bypass usage limits, or reverse-engineer the Service.
• Scrape, crawl, or automate requests against the Service without our permission.
• Resell, redistribute, or build a competing product using data from the Service.
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service or its infrastructure.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Organic Results and No Sponsored Placement

Pure Comps filters out ads, sponsored placements, and paid results from upstream data providers before displaying results. We do not sell ranking, placement, or visibility. Product order is determined by relevance, price, and your selected preferences — never by payment from retailers or manufacturers.

5. Affiliate Relationships

Pure Comps participates in affiliate programs, including Amazon Associates. When you click a product link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission from the retailer or affiliate program at no additional cost to you. This commission does not influence which products appear or how they rank. Affiliate relationships are independent of our organic-results filtering.

6. Pricing and Billing

Free tier: No payment required. Usage is limited to 50 searches/day and 3 watch-list items.

Pro tier: $4.99/month or $15/quarter, billed through Stripe. A 7-day free trial is available; your card is not charged until the trial ends. You can cancel at any time before the trial ends to avoid being charged. After the trial, billing recurs automatically until you cancel through your account or by contacting us.

Lifetime tier: $249 one-time payment through Stripe. This grants lifetime access to Pro-equivalent features. The Lifetime tier is planned to be limited to 100 completed memberships.

All prices are in USD and may change. Price changes do not affect active subscriptions until the next renewal cycle.

7. Refunds

Refund terms are described in our Refund Policy. In summary: free trials can be cancelled before charge, monthly subscriptions can be cancelled to prevent future charges, and Lifetime purchases may be refunded within 14 days if you have not made substantial use of premium features.

8. Price Accuracy and Third-Party Content

Product prices, availability, and descriptions come from third-party data providers and retailers. Prices are shown for comparison purposes and may not reflect the final price at the retailer (which may include shipping, tax, or regional differences). We do not guarantee that prices are accurate, current, or available. Always verify the final price on the retailer's website before purchasing.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, and user interface, is owned by Pure Comps. Product images, titles, and retailer names belong to their respective owners and are displayed for comparison purposes only. You may not copy, redistribute, or reproduce the Service without our permission.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that search results will be accurate or complete. Price comparisons are informational only and do not constitute purchasing advice. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pure Comps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your data will be removed within 30 days except where retention is required by law.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated via email if you have an account. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
